Faith Formation Adult Volunteers for 2025-2026
WHY
Today’s parents face a world of distraction, pressure, and noise. They need encouragement, wisdom, and faithful examples as they try to pass on the faith to their children. That’s where you can help..
At St. Peter Chanel, our Family Faith Formation program supports parents in these critical years—planting seeds that lead children to the life-giving sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. This life of faith is more often caught than taught, and you can help families “catch it” by simply showing up, sharing your love for the Church, and walking with them.
Whether you’re a grandparent, godparent, seasoned catechist, or simply someone who loves our Church and its future—your presence matters. You can be the quiet, steady voice of encouragement and witness that inspires both children and their parents.
This is a beautiful way to invest your Sunday mornings: not just in teaching lessons, but in forming disciples and strengthening Catholic family life. We need faithful, caring volunteers to help us support the saints of today as they raise the saints of tomorrow.
Family Faith Formation gives families an opportunity to explore our Catholic faith together while building small group communities and relationships. Our family model relies on the help of volunteer facilitators and preschool/K breakout leaders.
